I am a talented songwriter and musician.

I will write and record specialized background music for your video or film.  I have the tools to record any kind of music to fit the mood or scene of your films.

Sound design is the construction or recording of sound effects for films or podcasts.  I can record sounds out in the field and deliver some well-produced sound effects as well as synthesize sounds to be used with animation or video special effects.

Train Picking Up Speed, a field recording by Scott McFadden

This recording was made one night at a train yard.  I collected a series of different train noises that night - this one demonstrates the value of stereo recording very well.  For the best effect, listen through headphones and close your eyes to see the train pass in front of you.  Warning: This piece is somewhat loud and very bass-heavy.

Jams For The Getaway Car by Scott McFadden, EP Release, 2017

This recording is an excellent example of how audio editing can impact the punch of the beat.  Every instrument here is working together to make the beat hit you in the chest.  The track is mostly void of noise and everything is separated in a way that you can look across instruments to find others that are hanging out in the back.
