Audio Editing

Audio Editing is a game-changer

for film projects and an absolute necessity for all music recordings.  Audio editing includes removing noise and unwanted sounds, adding sounds or effects to help the recording, making sure all music is cohesive, and leveling to make sure all parts of the recordings are clear.

For songs, this process includes tuning vocals, time-correcting all the instruments, and removing flaws or mistakes in the recordings.  For films, this process includes making sure audio is synced to film, sound effects are present, and all dialog and actions are audible.

Editing audio is my most developed skill.  I am a Pro Tools and Ableton Live Guru.  I can make recordings sound flawless and perfectly polished, or raunchy and raw.  I have the expertise and attention-span to edit your film project or song to perfection.

This song is from Saul Zonana's latest album All The While The Butterfly.  I was one of the two lead engineers.  My primary job for this album was recording and editing.  Besides that, I assisted the mixing process.  I am very proud of my work on this record and proud to have had the opportunity to be involved.

You Cut Me Off by Scott McFadden from 2015 EP “Creep”

This song was written by yours truly.  I am every instrument and voice you hear in the recording.  The song was recorded, edited, mixed, and mastered all in my college dorm room.  I included this piece to show how polished and full a song can sound even when recorded in a concrete room with cheap gear and a cheap microphone.
